SCORE AND PRIZES
Each team member may submit one deer. Additionally, one team member may submit one “upgrade buck” that will replace their first entry and increase their combined score. Deer must be scored and submitted within 24 hours of harvest with antlers fully intact and prior to caping of the deer except as outlined below (see Submit Your Score page for examples.). For the purposes of this Agreement, “Harvest” shall be defined as the actual time of physical recovery of the deer shot by participant. If a deer is unable to be physically recovered by 11:59 p.m. on the day it was shot, participants are required to notify Quest Hunt via phone (417) 686-2354 by 12:00 p.m. (noon) the following day. Once the participant has notified Quest Hunt, the participant has 48 hours to recover, score and submit the deer for it to be accepted. Any deer submitted after the 48 hours have elapsed will not be accepted or considered for official scoring.
A team shall only submit one deer per team member for official scoring, meaning each deer submitted shall have been killed by a different member of the team. Each team member may submit a second deer to replace their first with a larger deer if said deer was killed by the same hunter with whom his/her deer is being replaced and said deer was killed in accordance with the terms of this Participation Agreement.
Prizes will be paid out on a team choice basis. (I.e. the team who finishes 1st will have the first option to choose from the available prize packs and then the 2nd place team will choose from the remaining prize packs and so on) All prizes received from placement in the Quest Hunt competition or from giveaways by Quest are final. No prizes may be returned or exchanged.
Any team that selects box blinds as their prize will be required to pay a shipping fee of $400.00 per box blind. Box blinds are expected to ship within approximately 12 weeks after the banquet.
Any team choosing a bow prize pack will provide the following: draw length, draw weight, RH or LH and let off. Bows will be built to these specs and shipped to the address provided by the participant. Bows are expected to ship within approximately 12 weeks after the banquet.
The Official Score
Official scoring may begin up to three (3) days in advance of any banquet. After submitting an unofficial score as provided above, teams placing 1st-3rd are required to have both participants attend the official scoring and awards ceremony. Teams placing 4th-10th are required to have at least one participant attend the official scoring and awards ceremony in Springfield, Missouri to claim any prize. All teams are required to have both deer racks submitted for scoring at the official scoring and awards ceremony regardless of whether or not that team is required to have both participants attend official scoring and awards ceremony. After submission of the deer as provided in this paragraph, a panel of Boone and Crocket / Pope and Young judges selected by Quest Hunt shall measure the deer and provide an official score. Any Participant who wishes to have their deer scored in consideration of winning prizes must be present for their states official scoring. Any deer that has previously been officially dry scored prior to the Quest Hunt banquet will not be accepted and will not be considered for official scoring and prizes. Deer must be scored by the panel of judges selected by Quest Hunt at the designated time of official scoring at the banquet to be considered for official scoring and prizes. All Official Scores are final and are not subject to revision
Additionally, to be considered for official scoring, deer must be presented fully intact. Any shed, broken antler or skull plate not fully intact will be not considered for official scoring. Deer submitted in velvet will be subject to a 2% reduction of their total gross score for official scoring. If a contestant removes the velvet prior to official scoring, it must be done so at least 60 days prior to official scoring or be subject to the 2% reduction. In the event of a tie amongst any top 10 teams, the tie will be broken by total spread of each team’s two best deer. All Official Scores are final and are not subject to revision.
