Harvest Story: Opening day archery in Kentucky was brought with a major cold front. Deer had been consistently on camera nearby. I used a set we placed last year for a different buck. Tonight seemed different. The bucks were very testosterone driven. Sparring and running each other out of the field for entire sit. Nice wide 10 point was taking some dominance in the field and it just felt like an early November rut hunt. He gave me a 30yard shot opportunity and I decided to take advantage of it. He jumped out of the field 10 yards into the woods and went down. I got out of the tree and as I approached him he was still alive so I decided to give him an ethical second arrow shot and he expired within a minute.
