Harvest Story: The chase started on opening day in September, not so much for this deer but for couple other target deer. My teammate was able to seal the deal on one of them, I have spent more hours in the stand this season than ever before with zero encounters of a target buck. Anyway, didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. Checked trail cams and had a few different bucks I considered shooters show up overnight, these deer have not been very consistent. I ran out the door, blew out a bunch of deer on the walk into the stand. Didn’t feel great about my opportunities for the morning, thankfully I got in early enough. The woods settled down and at first light I caught a glimpse of this deer, shortly after I made the shot at 33 yards and buck #2 for the River Ratz hit the dirt.
