Harvest Story: Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” – Hebrews 10:23 The chase for Enoch began in the winter of 2025, right after he shed his antlers. Our Uncle John found one side, and our buddy Jeremy found the other. From that moment on, the pursuit was on. Throughout the summer, we planted food plots and set our blind. My husband Nick worked his butt off—hauling feed, keeping the feeder full, and being the mastermind behind this entire hunt. This hunt would not have been successful without him. We only laid eyes on this deer four times all season. • Opening weekend: right at dark. • Second time: he slipped in at last light but never offered a shot. • Third time: he was chasing a doe and bedded at 66 yards—close, but still no shot opportunity. On the night of the harvest, Nick slipped in early since I had to work. He helped me sneak into the blind without getting busted by any doe. At 29 yards, everything lined up perfectly. My husband opened the window, and I made the shot. Right afterward, emotions kicked in—excitement, nerves, doubt. Dax sent a text prayer to us the second he heard we had shot, and that prayer lifted our spirits immediately. The peace that washed over us was undeniable. The power of prayer is real. Later when we found the arrow broken off only 10 yards from impact, our hearts dropped—we feared it was a bad hit. But when we picked up the half shaft, we knew the Beast Broadhead had done its job. Our buddies Justin and his boy Dax came to help track. We followed blood for about 240 yards into the woods until the trail went dry. Fear tried to creep in—because that’s exactly what the enemy loves to do. Before pushing on, my husband said a prayer, asking God to guide us, to steady our hearts, and to reveal the path we needed to take. Once again, peace covered us. We backed out and called William Harp (Drone Deer Recovery). He flew his drone and spotted Enoch just 33 yards past the last blood. When we walked up to him, we could even see the vest we had hung at the last blood lying not far from where he lay. Justin and Nick loaded him up so we could show my aunt and uncle—Carl, David, Vicky, and John. Sharing that moment meant everything. This hunt was packed with memories, challenges, and moments where faith had to speak louder than fear. Through it all, my God—the great “I Am”—helped us stand strong, trust deeply, and remain of good cheer. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” – 2 Corinthians 5:7 God is so good, and we owe this hunt, our lives, and our salvation to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All glory to Him.
