Harvest Story: It happened fast this evening. I have standing beans and there was 6 does feeding. I watched a couple good bucks walk past me and go into the beans along with some 1 1/2’s year olds. Next thing I knew the one doe came running out of the beans right at me with 4 bucks in tow. Nothing I wanted to shoot. They all stopped right under me and was fighting and circling the doe. Then I saw my buck jump the fence out of the beans running right toward me. By the time I put the binoculars down and started to pick my bow up, he was already at 20 yards. He stopped and was looking at the other bucks chase each other. I had the feeling he was gonna turn and circle. So I told myself when he turns pull up and shoot. That’s what I did with a perfect quartering away shot. He went about 80 yards I watched him fall.
