Harvest Story: This deer had been previously shot by another hunter so he ended up getting put on the hit list. I passed him earlier in the year due to being 4 years old. He was running a large range so he still was very unpredictable of what farm he on at all times even after being hit by a fellow hunter. I did a little rattling about 8:50-9am that morning and I had some other younger bucks come in and a really old 10 year old buck and once he work thru here he came behind me cruisin this ridge and feeding around a bit. I couldn’t get him to stop in the open shooting lane but he did finally stop between 2 little trees, so I leaned out and got my shot off at 18 yards. The entry went thru the liver and exit came out right behind his shoulder on the exit. He ran 50 yards and piled up but I wasn’t finding much blood and very discouraged walkout real quietly I came across his trail and see where it had opened up so, I look up to my left and there he was laying 50 yards dead.
