Harvest Story: I saw nothing in the stand that morning. Got down and was walking back to the UTV and walked into this buck chasing a doe. He came within 30 yards and there was some brush obstructing a shot. I slid to my left 2 steps to gain a clear shot. He stopped, looked at me for 2 seconds, then began walking directly at me. He seemed ready to fight me or breed me. I’m not sure which but I wasn’t interested in finding out. So I shot him in self defense.
