Harvest Story: It was a wild morning. I came into the stand spooking three does as I was walking in. To cover up the sound from getting set up and walking in, I grunted and rattle. Couple minutes passed. I had a bigger buck chasing another smaller buck I initially drew on but couldn’t get to stop. Shortly after, this buck chasing a doe came in at about 30 yards. Then they all disappeared, except for the bigger buck that circled back at 60 yards and a coyote. I grunted again, and this one came back in hot at 7 yards, where I double lunged him with BEAST broadhead. Ran 60 yards and suddenly dropped in his tracks. I’m thankful for God’s country and the opportunity to harvest my first bow buck. Not the biggest, but not the smallest. But a nice one to start with.
