Harvest Story: Recently purchased this property late winter of last year. The farm had been mainly used for horse pasture. So after closing I got to work improving habitat and food sources. After a lot of time on tractor in the early spring. I got my cams out in food source edges and travel points in my woods. First pics of this buck was in late June. He was a regular on camera all summer. Through out the time leading up to season I was I debate in the deer age. Some pics he would looks 4 others he would appear to be 4. On opening day I went in to the stand over one of my food plots in hope to see a differnt buck. That was occasionally using this plot. Around 7:25 pm. This buck stepped out on the north end of the good plot. After getting eyes in him. I realized he was bigger than what my cams had shown me. The deer made his way across the food plot and cam in to 21 yards and I took the shot. After a 80 yard blood trail I had him in my hands. I was able to harvest this buck on my birthday, along with it. Ring my first buck on film and my first deer in my own farm. I could not of been happier.
