Harvest Story: It’s been a great season with some great deer! With only 3 days left of season, I was so happy to have connected with this guy. Late November we moved some cameras to a new property, that is pretty small, and immediately started getting pictures of deer we had scouted earlier in the year. We logged those weather triggers and patterns for a quick month and started to put together a plan. With season getting close to the end I decided to hunt one of my favorite ways, from the ground, so I could move and position easily. It took 4 sits within 19 days to get just 23 yrds of this guy! After the shot I tracked a little ways and we decided to pull out and give him the night. Unfortunately the coyotes got to him before we did. He was just around the corner from where I pulled out, you just never know. A great reminder that we are not the only hunters or opportunist in the woods.
