Harvest Story: Around 2:30 had deer entering my clover / brassica plot. Noticed one of the young does was in estrous ( unusually late ) followed by a young buck. He pushed her all over the plot while other deer were entering. ( total 13 does and fawns ) Around 4pm my target buck entered the plot and pushed / checked all of the deer off the plot. He then returned to feed. I was able to stand / draw my bow back, without all those eyes around, and heart shot him at 42 yards. Piled up about fifty yards from the shot impact.
