Harvest Story: This is a 6.5 year old deer that’s been around the farm for a while. He was my number one target coming into this season, and he has not made it easy. The neighbor shot him back in November but he somehow pulled through. I spotted him today in a big grass field and was able to get within 30 yards of him before he got up. I missed the first shot but when I shot he just stopped and turned back and looked at me. I hit him with the second shot and dropped him. I’ve set 21 times this year for this particular deer. It’s been a long tough season, but so rewarding.
