Harvest Story: The story of this deer really just started this year. He just must of moved his territory to our farm this year. Anyhow we named him Mr. Big. This was my 3rd and finally encounter with him tonight. First 2 were in bow season both times were close just didn’t have a clear shot. However one week ago when the deer left my sight a couple hours later it appeared in front of my buddy and he thought he had a clear shot but ended up hitting a twig deflecting his arrow into the backstrap. Of course we tracked it along ways realizing the shot was not fatal. Fast forward one week later after an all day sit in the muddy blind overlooking a bean field where I seen him the week prior there he appeared again in the final minutes of shooting time. Giving me a broadside shot to make a clean and fast kill tonight ending the long but short story of Mr. Big!!
