Harvest Story: A hunt after work turned into a spot and stalk as I was still hunting a piece of farmland when I working into a large hay field. Using the terrain I peeked to see the lower bottom of the field and spotted this buck bumping a group of does along with 10 other deer. I cut the distance belly crawling within 200 yards and ended up waiting for a broadside/slightly quartering away shot… ranged after at 204 yards this was my longest shot on a deer with a rifle. I used a 1970 30-30 150 grains and the deer buckled at impact and only traveled 40 yards before crashing! My first time having a tag in the PA firearms season in 8 seasons! Not with a bow but I won’t complain!
