Harvest Story: I patterned this buck all summer knew he was A home body and something I thought I could harvest. Had him show up the day before or day after bowhunting more than once. Saw him opening day of rifle season two far away. Had a good Cold front come in later and rifle season moved close to his home area. Close to dark I had a deer step out of the tree line, but was still in brush. His head was down. He lifted it up. I saw a crab claw and split brow tine And knew which one it was. I waited for him to step out then something acted like it spooked him. He turned his head to leave, so I found an opening in the trees and brush. Then placed a lethal shot. He did not travel far.
