Harvest Story: Been hunting on Fort Riley for two seasons now. Harvested my first archery buck last year in the same area as this one. Due to training on base 90% of the hunt able area has been closed or walk in only. So I had a mountain bike and biked 4.5k into this draw that I had sat in before. Heard a far of grunt and some rustling so I grunted back. He came walking in and I could only see tips of his tines and he was walking away. I grunted twice, hard. He immediately 180’d and came right up towards me and at 30 yards I sent the Sevr 2.0 and double lunged him. He went about 80 yards and piled up in the bottom. My biggest buck so far!
