Harvest Story: Deer was shot on Saturday 11/9 with a suspected marginal shot after watching him bed with, and breed, a doe for 8 hours along a fence row in the middle of a filed. Finally came in and gave me a shot in the evening. Followed blood as far as we could through a field and backed out when we thought he may still be alive to avoid bumping him out of his bed. Waited until sunrise of the next day to go in and look for him with a dog and her tracker. Turns out I made a better shot than I thought, and he was dead within 100 yards of where we stopped, just inside the woods!
