Harvest Story: As the sun began to set on opening evening, I settled into my spot, ready to kick off another hunting season. This year, I approached it with a sense of calm and no big expectations. I knew the deer I was after had been running with the one I harvested last year, which took me several weeks to finally get down. Imagine my excitement when, just as the light began to fade, he walked into view! My heart raced, but I knew I had to be patient. For about 45 minutes, I watched him, waiting for the perfect moment to take my shot. As I held my breath, he finally turned just right, giving me the clear shot I had been waiting for. In that moment, everything came together. The thrill of the hunt, the anticipation, and the satisfaction of being part of nature all wrapped into one experience. I’m grateful for the journey and can’t wait to share more adventures this season!
