Harvest Story: I bumped him from his bed on Tues. Got a pic of him north on Thurs morning at 5:30am heading back toward the direction I bumped him. I took a different route in to where he was bedded before, thinking he was going back to that spot because it had worked for him before. He came by at 6:45 that evening directly underneath me, coming from where I jumped him. 10 yards under me I found a tiny hole (super thick in there) and sent an arrow, he bound up on top of the ditch bank and stopped. I already had another arrow nocked and was drawn, I shot him again. He went a few more yards, stopped at 20, he watched me draw back this 3rd arrow, and I sent that one home. He ran and died about 40 yards away. 1st arrow, top left hind, exit bottom left hind (severe angle, that’s how close he was). 2nd arrow MIGHT have deflected, but it sliced his belly. 3rd arrow, mid body entrance and exit was directly behind the shoulder. What a crazy hunt, for an unbelievable animal.
